- KEY COMMANDS
-
- This section describes certain keys used to perform commands
- during the adventure.
- Each game purchased from Viper Games will come with a
- complete printed manual describing the entire game in detail.
-
- RSD stands for Radar and Scanning Device
-
- The ARROW KEYS are used to move the leader (blinking yellow
- dot) around the radar window. The other four members of the
- team will follow the leader. When the leader reaches the
- edge of the radar window, he will enter the next area of the
- map and the other team members will remain in the previous
- area. If the leader's RSD becomes disabled, then this command
- does nothing.
-
- The SPACE BAR will use the leader's RSD to target enemies
- (RED) in the radar window. Only the enemies within targeting
- range can be targeted. Once the space bar has been pressed,
- the leader's RSD will find the nearest enemy in range. The
- target will be displayed in the target window and the enemy
- will begin blinking in the radar window. Press the space bar
- again to cycle through the available targets. If you do not
- wish to have a target press the space bar until "NO TARGET"
- appears in the target window. The target is only the leader's
- target, all other members will choose their own target. If
- the leader's RSD becomes disabled this command does nothing.
-
- The ENTER/RETURN key will attack the target. This command
- only works for the leader, all other members attack their
- targets themselves. This command will not function if:
-
- -No target has been defined.
- -Out of weapons range
- -RSD malfunction
-
- The "D" key will show the amount of damage done to each
- member's RSD. The percentage of damage will be displayed
- above each member's picture in the character window. If the
- damage to an RSD falls below 50 percent, the RSD will become
- inactive. This should be monitored frequently to insure that
- the RSD does not become disabled.
-
- The "R" key will show a medical report. Above each member is
- the name of the member they are treating.
-
- The "S" key allows the sound to be turned on or off. Press
- "S" once to turn the sound off. Press "S" again to turn the
- sound back on.
-
-
- The ESCAPE KEY (ESC) will enter the GAME MENU. In the GAME
- MENU you can view members, equip weapons, reload guns,
- drop/trade items, change order, treat members, or resume the
- current game. Pressing this key again will enter the SYSTEM
- MENU where you can save and load games, exit to dos, or
